Recently, ZTT’s three new fiber optic cable products and new technologies have passed the identification, and the comprehensive performance have reached the international advanced level.The three new products and technologies are "Metallic loose tube fiber optic cable for terrestrial communication", "Mirco module tube blowing fiber optic cable" and "RFID-based fiber optic cable identification technology". At the appraisal meeting, the participating experts agreed that the three new products and technologies had achieved a number of innovations, showing the scientific research strength of ZTT in the optical fiber and cable industry.
According to reports, the metallic loose tube fiber optic cable for terrestrial communication is a new type of directly buried fiber optic cable, using innovative laser-welded stainless steel tube as the optical fiber protection tube, with excellent resistance to stretching, lateral pressure, freezing, tooth bite, and corrosion, and is particularly suitable for use in harsh geological conditions such as plateaus, frozen soils, and geologically unstable areas.
In order to deal with the problems of tight routing and low efficiency in the construction and operation of fiber optic cables, the mirco module tube blowing fiber optic cable developed by ZTT innovatively use mirco module tube instead of conventional PBT, nylon, PE, and PC materials as fiber optic ferrule. Besides, its cross-sectional area is much smaller than that of traditional fiber optic cables with light weight, not only effectively saving the hole resources, but also improving the laying efficiency of fiber optic cables.
In addition, in order to effectively manage the fiber optic cable and facilitate the maintenance and management of the fiber optic cable line, ZTT developed the corresponding fiber optic cable information management software system based on the application of RFID (radio frequency identification) technology, to maintain management data with the operator and bring efficiency and convenience to operators' management.
With decades of experience in the design, testing and production of special fiber optic cables, ZTT has built an industry-leading special cable laboratory, and has two national single champion products like all dielectric self-supporting aerial cable [ADSS] and optical fiber composite overhead ground wire [OPGW], which are widely used in the main transportation lines of China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Radio and Television, State Grid....
